About Us
"Ivy Veterinary Care was founded as an independent, local, and minority owned practice to provide pet owners in Chicago a veterinary team they can trust and depend on.
Our vision was to create a welcoming space where we can provide gold standard veterinary care for our patients.
We believe in respecting our patients, being honest and transparent with pet owners, and promoting the well-being of our staff. We place an emphasis on being thorough in our diagnostic and treatment recommendations and taking the time to educate clients."
Your Veterinarian
Dr. Andrew Lee is a graduate of University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana where he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine after earning his BS in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois-Chicago. As a Chicago area native, he is happy to be helping pets live their best lives in his hometown. Dr. Lee is passionate about forming life-long relationships with clients through education, compassion, and trust. He loves to work with owners to be active participants in the healthcare of their pets.
He lives in the neighborhood with his wife, who is also a veterinarian, their son, and a full house of pets - including Sawyer (a schnauzer with a big personality), Scout (a sweet mixed breed dog), Lego (a mischievous siamese cat), and Jim (the house recluse).
In his free time, Dr. Lee likes relaxing with friends and family, exercising (but hates running), fancying a new whiskey, trying new cuisine, and starting a new home improvement project that never gets finished.
